Saint Malo Brittany we usually arrive in the port by ferry on our way to somewhere in the Vendee. This time we were staying about 50 miles away in Le Tanu Normandy and we decide to spend a day in St Malo The beach at Saint Malo
There is a lot to see in the town.Starting with the Port and marina and then the newer part of the town.We were interested in the old part behind the old fortified walls in the port.You can take your car into the old part but it is a maze of narrow streets.You are better parking outside the walls and walking in. We found a carpark next to the walls overlooking the beach with an old gateway entrance into the centre. This is the place to be if you like old buildings narrow streets and pavement cafes and bars.Places to eat a guide to the most popular restaurants in the town I was very surprised by the size of the beach and how clean it is If it is rainig when you visit the town you could try the Grand Aquarium at Ave du General Patton 35402 .It is a couple of miles from the town centre The beach with the new part of town in the background
