We liked the rue d'Alsace-Lorraine/rue du Languedoc, for shopping it is quite a long street.

On Wednesday there is a large general market where you can buy anything. It is a mixture of food, clothes and a feamarket it is at Place du Capitole. There is a food market on Tuesday and Saturday mornings in the same place. Places to eat in the city this will give you a guide to the cost of a meal out
