The village of Gesvres has a junior school, bar restaurant and garage. Activities in the area include horse riding, canoeing, fishing and walking. The nearby town of Le Mans is famous for its motor rallies. Local airports include Rennes, Tours and the nearest ports are Caen and St Malo.
