Places to visit in Berck-sur-MerBerck sur Meris on the north coast of France. In the Pas de Calais region about 10 miles from Le Touquet.The town like most of the Cote d Opale as great beaches that go on for miles. They are very clean and have all the usual water sports. The town gets very busy at the weekend
but we got parked quite easy most of the parking areas are
free to park.

If like us you would prefer to stay just outside the town you can find a good choice of Gites to rent like this one. This house is a short drive from Berck sur mer and would make a good base to tour the area.
This old detached schoolhouse is set in a large garden overlooking the church. Close by is the Canche River, where you can go canoeing and fishing, or just enjoy walking through the 7 Valleys area. The historic town of Montreuil-sur-Mer is just a short drive away with its medieval fortifications, excellent restaurants, cafés, shops and theatre. One of the many restaurants on the promenade we had crepes and coffee at this one
 Breck-sur-mer is nice seaside town you can walk along the promenade. Look down on to the beach and the sea. Or you can go down the other side and walk through the restaurants and cafe bars The main shopping is just off the front and as a good choice of shops to browse or buy from. There is an old two tier carousel on the promenade. Musee
