Berck sur Mer is a charming seaside town located in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of northern France. It is a popular tourist destination, known for its relaxing atmosphere and beautiful beaches.
The town is home to a large sandy beach, which is ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and other beach activities. Visitors to Berck can also explore the quaint cobbled streets of the old town, where you can find a number of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.
The town also has a rich cultural history, with several churches and museums. Nature lovers can explore the surrounding nature reserves, which are home to a variety of species of birds and other wildlife.
In addition, there are plenty of activities to keep visitors entertained, such as sailing, fishing, and golf. Berck is the perfect destination for a relaxing holiday in Northern France.
The town like most of the Cote d Opale has great beaches that go on for miles. They are very clean and have all the usual water sports.
The town gets very busy at the weekend but we got parked quite easy most of the parking areas are free to park
The beach
The beach is kept very clean you can always find a spot to yourself it is so large.
One of the many restaurants on the promenade we had crepes and coffee at this one
Breck-sur-mer is nice seaside town you can walk along the promenade. Look down on to the beach and the sea.
Or you can go down the other side and walk through the restaurants and cafe bars
The main shopping is just off the front and as a good choice of shops to browse or buy from. There is an old two tier carousel on the promenade.
Musee de Breck-sur-mer is worth a visit open all year round closed on a Monday.A local Map of the area
Just an update
It as been about 2 years since our last visit to the town time passes so quickly.So it was nice to see that the town was still busy unlike some of the smaller resort in the area.Take a drive down the seafront with us
