We visited Carolles Plage on a Sunday afternoon in October. We had been driving down the coast and stopped at Jullouville for a coffee and walk round the town.We noticed a sign for Carolles which is about 2 miles away and decided to have a look.

The town is in a bay with high cliffs you can park almost on the beach. The beach streches for miles and is very clean and was quite busy for the time of the year. Behind the beach there are several shops and cafes and a good picnic area
