Caumont a small French village

Places to see in the village of Caumont

Caumont is a little village 3 miles from the market town of Hesdin.

It has about 30 houses and one shop, a bakery.

We chose it as a base to tour the Pas de Calais region.

It is about 90 minutes from Calais by car.

Most of the interesting places in the area can be reach in 1 hour or less.

The photo above shows a plaque about a English bomber crew shot down on 21st December 1943 on the outskirts of the village.

A Gite

The restored Gite we stayed in during our stay in June 2006.

It had good accom for 6 people and off road parking for 3 cars.

A nice fenced garden with a bbq area very safe for children.

The best thing was the bread shop just 100yds away.
