Les Champs Elysees

The Champs Elysées is one of the most well known areas in France.

The Champs Elysées Avenue, which starts at the Arc of Triumph and finishes at the Place de la Concorde.

This is one of the main places which tourists coming to Paris should visit

The Champs Elysées Avenue contains several theatres, shops, cafes, restaurants and cinemas.

There is so much to see if you walk from one end to the other.

It could take you more than a day to explore everything.

There are major exhibition venues the Petit Palais and Grand Palais.

The Jardins des Champs Elysées is at the Place de la Concorde end of the avenue.

It has well kept gardens with fountains, and as an overall look of a well cared for area.

I usually park outside the centre and take the metro it is easier and cheaper.

We visit Paris every couple of years and stay in a hotel as near to the centre as we can afford.So this year we decided to have a change and stay in an apartment.The cost is about the same there is no cheap accommodation in Paris.Unless you stay on the outskirts but then you have travelling cost so you are no better off.What we liked liked about the apartment was the feeling you were a resident of Paris if only for a short while.We lived like a local shopped in the local markets even if it was only for 5 days.The hotels are fine but you are just a tourist.
