Chateau du Breuil in the Calvados area of Normandy. The Chateau was built in the 16th and 17th century.It has been restored by its owners who have been distillers for three generations.

While we were visiting Le Breuil en Auge we saw a sign for Chateau du Breuil. It is about a mile away The Chateau is very impressive set in a large garden area that you can walk round. It is surrounded by 22 thousand apple trees.

There is a car park near the Chateau shop where you can buy their Calvados products.We arrived at 4 pm on a Sunday afternoon at the end of May and although they were open they would not take us round the distillery. So maybe you are better visiting on a weekday. We did however enjoy our walk in the grounds
