Croutons


Remove crust from thick sliced bread cut each slice into cubes.

Saute in hot foaming butter until crisp and golden.

Drain on kitchen paper and keep warm in a oven.

Croutons can be made in a advance and stored in the fridge until needed.

To reheat place in a hot oven


Garlic croutons


Cut a clove of garlic in half and rub it over the bread before cutting the bread into cubes.

Fry in hot olive oil instead of butter.
