Places to visit in the market town of DesvresDesvres We visited this small market town on a damp Tuesday morning in June. We had heard the street market was good. So as it was only about 10 miles from where we were staying in the village of Inxent we would have a look. Desvres is a nice small town with plenty of shops, bars and cafes. The market is in the centre of the town at Place Leon Blum and the streets off. There is a car park near the market or you can park as we did in the main shopping street. Market stall
The market is as you would expect in France full of fresh produce. Vegetables, cheese and live stock chickens and rabbits. Plus clothes and shoes even double glazing. Our favorite was the freshly cooked chickens and hams you can see in the photo. It is always a good sign when you see the locals buyings from the bbq van. We got a chicken and roasted potatoes for dinner there. The taste is far better than you would get in the UK. The chicken stall which was always busy
