Dinan

Dinan is a Breton town and one of France's walled towns. The old town is on the banks of the Rance river and is surrounded by parks and trees.
If you are travelling from the UK the ferry to St Malo is best. You can fly from Stansted Airport to Dinan.
You can take a boat trip from the coast about a 10 mile trip. That takes you through the fields and woods past some very large houses.

The Rue du Jerzual, a steep, picturesque street lined with half timbered houses. Quite a few local artists and craftsmen live and work here.

The medieval town centre is made up of cobbled streets and old houses shops, and cafes.

Places to visit the Jacobins Theatre dating from 1224 and the Château de Dinan. Or the church of St Saviour's Basilica. Just behind the church you get a great view of the river and a large viaduct.
