Douarnenez is a great place for sailing it has a large marina and boat moorings on the river.There are boat building and repair yards for mainly for leisure boats.We followed the coast road the D7 into the port you have the Bay of Douarnenez on your right. You can see the port on the Pouldavid Estuary. We drove into the centre of town but found it a bit busy so we headed down to the Pont Rhu where there is plenty of parking alongside of the river. We had a nice walk passed all the expensive yachts moored on the river.There are several cafes and bars on the riverside and the Port-Musée.If you are interested in boats this is the place to visit. You can see fishing vessels dating back to the early 20th century. Places to eat local restaurants and a town Map. Douarnenez bay seen from the D7 road
