Places to see in La Wast photos and guideLa Wast is a charming little French village 20 miles from Calais. The main street has terraces of white single cottages with blue shutters. There is an old church just off the main street. It has a unusual portal with oriental decorations.
The French village of La Wast The village with its shuttered houses  The village has an old shop and a couple of cafes come bars. It is a pleasant place to walk round and see the old houses. There is a small grey stone chateau in the main street you can see it in the last photo. The area has woodlands and pastures small old villages. Google street mapWe have stayed at several Gites over the years along this coast and have enjoyed them all This cottage is a few miles from Ambleteuse in the village of Les Coquelicots
On the edge of the village with fine country views and walks from the door. 46 kms from Calais, 12 kms from the very popular resort of Hardelot Plage and 17 kms from Wimereux. Tennis 2 kms, horse-riding 4 kms, shops 5 kms, swimming pool and sailing 12 kms. Check out the weather in France
