Lisieux is in the Calvados region of Normandy. The town is one of the largest in the area where we were staying near Blangy le Chateau

We visited Lisieux several times during our stay in Calvados.The town is a mixture of old and new you can still see some old timber framed buildings. It has a large retail park just on the edge of town which we used for our main food shopping. There is every kind of store on the site not only food.

We shopped at the E Leclerc supermarket you could buy everything you needed there and cheap diesel about 12p a litre cheaper than the UK.
