Livarot Normandy our visit to the town was quiet by chance.We had been shopping at Lisieux a large town about 10 miles away.

We were driving around enjoying the countryside before heading back to our rented Gite. Along the road in the photo and we saw the sign to the town. So decided to have a look, we were glad we did. Livarot has so many old timber framed houses on the main street. There are a good mix of shops and a few cafes we found a good bread and cake shop.Not hard to do in France the town is the centre for the Livarot cheese makers.

You can visit a cheese producer there is one about half a mile from the town centre .Fromagerie Graindorge is on 42 rue du General Leclerc 14140 Livarot
