Luc sur Mer Normandy was the next town on our journey along the Normandy coast.The town is
a mile or two from Lion sur Mer the last town we visited
Sign to the town
Luc sur Mer and most of the towns on this coast were getting ready for the D Day 65 years celebration. The town was part of Sword beach WWll Normandy landing. It was very quiet when we visited you can see the empty car park. The town has a casino and the usual mix of shops and cafes. A good clean beach with beach huts and a sailing school. It is hard to imagine the battle on this same beach in this peaceful seaside town.
