 We stayed 3 miles outside the town at the village of Wierre Effroy This location makes a good base to see the area. A good place to visit form Marquise is the museum of marble and geology. It is just up the road at Rinxent. You can see some great old fossils from the Boulogne region and the marble quarry. You can also visit the fortress of Mimoyecques the V3 rocket base from WWll. It is close to the village of Landrethun Le Nord. We will have page on this interesting place soon.
