Mentque Nortbecourt is in the Hem valley in the Pas de Calais region. About 11 miles from Saint Omer and 2 miles from the village of Tournehem sur la Hem
The villages of Mentque and Nortbecourt have been combined to form one village.Which at first was a little confusing as we walked round the village. To find a different name on each end of the village.Nortbecourt has a tower which dates back to Roman times. Mentque has a church with a tower from the 13th century.We had a short walk round the village before continuing our trip round the Hem valley and heading for Tournehem sur la Hem.
