Peronne Museum the entrance is through the gateway you can see in the first photo.There is some parking at the front but it was full when we got there. If you turn right at the stop sign then next left you can park there on another carpark round the side of the building.

The Historial de la Grande Guerre Museum

When you go through the entrance of the Chateau de Péronne to get to the museum. You go up an old stone stairway that leads to the very modern museum. The Historial de la Grande Guerre Museum was built in 1992, by architect Henri Ciriani. The building is a mixture of white cement walls and glass.Some of the exhibits are laid out in what looks like open military graves.

I found the museum a little short on content and the items were to clean almost unused. I thought the museum at Albert was better it had more items some still with the mud from the trenches but that is my personal view you must judge for your self

Opening Hours

Daily 10.00 - 18.00 hours.

From 1st October - 31st March: The museum is closed on Mondays.

From mid December to mid January: The museum is closed.
