Birthday Petits Fours

to make 24

72 tiny square butter biscuits

90g / 3½ ozs strawberry jam

150g / 5ozs white chocolate

150g / 5ozs plain chocolate

90g / 3½ ozs white marzipan

50g / 2ozs icing sugar

red, yellow, and green food colouring

edible silver balls



Spread two thirds of the biscuits with strawberry jam.

Layer two biscuits together then top with a plain one, 3 biscuits in all.

Repeat with the remaining biscuits to make 24 stacks.

Melt the white and plain chocolate in separate bowls.

Brush half of the biscuits with white chocolate and half with the plain chocolate.

leave to set. knead the icing sugar and the marzipan together until combined.

Divide into 3 pieces colour one pink, one yellow and one green with the food colouring.

Roll out each piece thinly onto grease proof paper.

Cut into thin strips and wrap 2 strips around each biscuit.

Arrange a bow shape on the top decorate with silver balls
