Pittefaux is a village 5 miles from the port of Boulogne sur Mer. It is a simular distance to the seaside town of Wimereux

Pittefaux is about 2 miles up the road from where we stay in Wierre Effroy. We drive through the village ever time we go out and have been meaning to take some photos for the last 5 years.The village is in a valley between two hills it has a large old Chateau and a water mill.

There are a few terrace cottages and converted farmhouses in the village but no shops. Shopping is not a problem just through the village you turn left up the hill.In about 2 miles you come to a large retail park at Saint-Martin-Boulogne which has one of the largest Auchan hyper markets in France.We do most of our shopping here prices lower than Calais which is more for the tourists on day trips.
