Pork Chops in Cider
Heat the oil and butter together in a heat proof casserole dish Add the onions and fry gently until brown. Add the pork chops next and fry until browned on both sides. Mix the rest of the vegetables and the apple slices . Add to the casserole and cook stirring for 3 mins. Stir in the flour and cook for 2 to 3 mins. Pour in the cider and stock next. Add the thyme and season to taste. Cover the casserole and cook in a moderate oven. 350f or gas 4 for 45 mins. garnish
with parsley and serve.
