Romagny Manche Normandy is a village just a couple of miles from the town of Mortain It is about 30 miles from our base at le Tanu and the town of Avranches is 20 miles away

We visited the village of Romagny by chance it is not a place we knew. We were on our way to Mortain and the sat nav brought us to the village on our way to Mortain.We saw people parking their cars in the local school playground and we decided to stop and see what was happening.

We found the whole village had been turned into a car boot most of the houses had a stall outside of their gates. There was a homemade BBQ in the centre near the church selling hotdogs and hot chestnuts and hot mulled wine.

Another thing that surprised us was number of local Brits walking round. Considering it is not really a tourist spot and the first week in October.We also found that several of the stalls local Brits we bought 2 English videos of one to play back at our Gite. We had only taken DVDs with us and the gite only had a video player with the TV
