Saint Hymer is a small village in the Calvados region of Normandy.It is about 2 miles from another old village we visited earlier in the day. The village of Pierrefitte-en-auge. The nearest large town is at Lisieux about 6 miles away which has a large retail park for all your shopping needs

The village is at the bottom of a hill. There is an old church and several old timber framed houses.I noticed at one of the houses you could stay for B/B there is a car park opposite the church we stopped there for a picnic and then had a walk round

There is a post box in the car park we had bought 4 postcard earlier in Honfleur. We did not know if we should post them here in case they did not get collected.They were delivered to the UK in 3 days I was impressed
