SALIES AS A TOWN Salies town is a very pretty typically picturesque French town. It is a market town and markets are held on Thursdays and Saturdays. There are a number of restaurants and bars, grocery shops and lots of boulangeries! Salies is becoming increasingly popular with artists, artist studios and photography shops are opening up every where. It is easy to settle in Salies as there is a good mix of nationalities, amongst the non-locals the majority are English. The new comers are very accepted by the locals and both live in harmony.
ACTIVITIES The countryside surrounding Salies is beautiful and there are many large rivers and lakes, plenty of water sports, horse riding, golfing, rock climbing, cycling and hill walking in the Pyrennes.
