1 Place de L’Horloge was built for the mayor of Tourrettes on a site which only he was able to obtain.
The house is situated on the Place de L’Horloge adjacent to a 12th century Bell Tower with sweeping views over the valley to distant hills and snow capped mountains.
Location being everything, the house has an enormous terrace to take advantage of the spectacular setting. Although a village house, and just a few minutes walk from cafes, restaurants and shops, its priviliged position makes it the only free standing and completely private house on the Place de L’Horloge.
The house is approached from the Place de L'Horloge through an electronic gate on a private driveway.
The main house consists of a large sunroom, three bed rooms (two with ensuite bathrooms), kitchen with adjoining pantry.
The dining room, large sitting room and library or TV room open onto the terrace through double French doors.
The self-contained annex, which also opens on to the terrace through French doors, has a double bedroom and large ensuite bathroom.
At the rear of the house is a boiler room (oil and electricity, i.e. an immersion heater) and a tool room or workshop.
Just 30 minutes from Cannes and 45 minutes from Nice airport, Tourrettes is at the center of many historical sights and naural beauty spots.
THE PROPERTY IS ON THE MARKET FOR 450,000 EUROS.
