Tournehem sur La HemTournehem sur La Hem was the next village we wanted to see in the Hem valley area.
It is only a few miles from our last stop at Licques
We drove into the village square where you can park your car.
There are a couple of cafes and a shop. From the square you can see the remains of the
old ramparts.The village is quite compact so is easy to walk round.Which is a good thing
as our visit was on a cold and showery day in December. We will have to come back in the summer.
A short distance from the square you will see an old mill next to the river Hem. There are
several excursions along the river in summer.The river trips will take you to see the
church of Notre Dams de la Foret 1718
