We were staying just over the border in Normandy in the small village of Le Tanu. The owner of the Gite we were staying at told us about the Medieval town of Vitre. We were visiting Forgeres which is not to far from Vitre and had time to see the town. We were glad we did this is a great place. With its old narrow streets and buildings plus a castle.If you visit by car you can park on the car park next to the railway station. The old part of the town is just across the road.
