French white sauce recipe
Melt the butter over a medium heat and add the flour. When the mixture froths remove the pan from the heat. Add the milk stirring steadily to avoid lumps forming. When the sauce is smooth return the pan back to the heat and bring to a simmer point. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
