by Annette Northcott
(Cadourel, Midi Pyrenees, France)
Your hosts, Annette and Rob Northcott began renovating 'Cadourel' in 2001 having stumbled upon the property whilst on holiday.
The property, now fully renovated is surrounded by meadows and woodland. It sits perfectly amongst the hills of the stunning French countryside, approximately 6km from the Medieval town of Saint Antonin Noble Val in department 82 (Tarn et Garonne)in the South West of France.
In Saint Antonin Noble Val you will find medieval architecture, restaurants, bars and the famous Sunday market.
The four guest bedrooms at Cadourel are light and airy, all have modern ensuite bath/shower rooms which are fitted to a high standard.
The private gardens and terraces allow guests to take advantage of the peace and tranquillity that Cadourel offers.
Evening meal is available and when possible we will use organic fruit and vegetables from our own garden.
Cadourel provides guests with comfortable accommodation in relaxing surroundings.
The hills above Saint Antonin Noble Val are ideal for rambling and offer fantastic vistas for photographers.
Nearby there are ancient sleepy villages, churches and chateaux to explore.
The area surrounding Saint Antonin Noble Val offers a diverse range of things to do for all the family.
Canoeing
Rock Climbing
Fishing
Paraglyding
Horse Riding
A short drive away are the vineyards of Gaillac where you will find many chateaux and domains offering you the opportunity to sample the wine.
Further afield you can visit the cosmopolitan towns of Caussade, Montauban, Albi, Villefranche de Rouergue and Toulouse.
