Chateauroux, with its mainline station connections to Paris in the North and Toulouse etc., in the South, is just 25 minutes away.The town itself has all the necessary commerce, Post Office, Doctors, Veterinaires, Dentist, Chemist, boulangeries, butcher, charcuterie, paper shop, cafés, schools etc.

It also has a very large, picturesque well stocked fishing lake, (very popular) and a 13th Century historical Church. It has a weekly market and holds brocants at various times of the year, together with other activities.

The house has been updated by professionals - but retains all the period features. New double glazed windows have been fitted, the imposing stone front façade of the maison has been cleaned, the rear of the property re-rendered and a brand new Oertlie oil central heating/hot water chauffage installed.
