La Germondiere - Two traditional gites with private fishing lakes set amongst the apple orchards, yet very close to a town with all amenities

Simon & Julie would love to welcome you to our little corner of paradise!

Part of an ancient barn, our two gîtes are traditionally rustic, yet furnished and equipped with all you need for your self-catering holiday. Exposed beams, tiled floors throughout, wood burning stoves and restful outdoor areas make La Germondière an ideal location for your holiday.

We are pet-friendly too.... so you don't have to leave your faithful friend behind. We are mostly a child-free environment too, children by exception.

We have two spring fed fishing lakes of 1.5 and 3 acres, stocked with carp (mirror, common, koi and grass), tench and roach, surrounded by mature shrubs and trees.

A rural country setting rich in wildlife, providing you with a perfect environment for bird-watching, photography, painting, or simply relaxing and soaking up the wonders of nature. A place which is simply 'good for the soul'.

Just sit back and watch and listen to the huge variety of birds and wildfowl visiting our lakes - watch the swallows dipping into the water, and see if you can spot the Kingfisher feeding on our smallest fish.

Gite de la Prairie (2-4 people) - A 1 bedroom gîte with a mezzanine lounge, south facing enclosed patio and garden, overlooking the nearby apple orchards.

The gîte has a well equipped kitchen/dining area (seating for 4) with a mezzanine level lounge area (with a sofa-bed), a spacious double bedroom, walk in shower room and separate wc. The gîte can accommodate 2 people in the double bedroom with 2 further people utilising the sofa bed on the mezzanine lounge.

The gîte has a gas cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine, wok, electric grill/plancha, iron and ironing board, clothes airer and even a hairdryer is provided. Patio furniture, parasol, sunbeds and a BBQ. Electric radiators in most rooms, wood-burner for those cooler evenings, UK TV and free wifi are also provided.

Gite de l'Etang (2-6 people) - A 2 bedroom ground floor gîte situated overlooking the fishing lakes.

Large lounge/kitchen/diner with leather sofa, plus sofa-bed, double bedroom, twin bedroom, walk in shower room and separate wc. The gîte can accommodate 4 people in bedrooms with 2 further people utilising the sofa bed in the lounge (supplementary charge applies for more than 4 people).

Fully equipped with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, dish-washer, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine, wok, electric grill/plancha, iron and ironing board, clothes airer, even a hairdryer is provided. Electric radiators in most rooms, wood-burner for those cooler evenings, UK TV and free wifi are also provided.

The gîte has a fenced large garden and patio area, overlooking the smaller lake, for watching the sun set, perhaps enjoying a glass of French wine. We provide patio furniture for 6 people, a parasol, sunbeds and a large BBQ.

Gîte de l'Etang has no steps or stairs, everything is on one level, with wide door-ways and grab bars in the toilet and shower. We also provide an adjustable height shower chair, with arms.

We also supply a picnic blanket, we hope you will use it by our lakes.
