Alligator Bay Normandy is about 2 miles from Mont Saint Michel. We saw the sign for it while on a visit to the Mont.From the car park you just follow the road the D976 for about 5 mins and you will see Alligator Bay on your left. Turn in and the car park is at the back of the building.

Check the opening times before you visit. They only open at 2 pm when we visited in October. The park has 3 areas, one outside with the turtles and giant tortoises. Inside there is an area with snakes and lizards. The final area is made up of walkways where you can look down on a lot of alligators and crocodiles. We took about 2 hours to see everything but you could easy spend half a day there.There is a good shop with English speaking staff. There is a picnic area outside near the car park. We found Alligator Bay to be good value for money we paid 11 euros to get in.

Les Terrasses Poulard Hotel Le Mont-Saint-Michel

This hotel is full of character. Being an old building, it only has the inconvenience of having small rooms, which is highly compensated for by the excellent location and quality of the restaurant. Please note that neither coaches nor cars have access through the gates of Mont Saint Michel. Guests will, therefore, need to park in the car park nearest to the entrance when the tide is low.

Alternatively, you have the option to park further away. You will have a slightly longer walk but the breathtaking view will be worth it. This is a charming, traditional building. The hotel is ideally located on Mont Saint Michel, a five minute walk uphill from the entrance gate.
