Broccoli Gratin a tasty French recipe
Cook the broccoli in salted water. When cooked plunge them into cold water and drain well. Make up the white sauce by melting the butter in a pan. Stirring in the flour. cook for about 1 min then beat in the milk all in one go. Beat continuously for 2 mins then remove from the heat. Stir in the cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper and half the cheese. Chop the broccoli roughly and mix into the sauce. Put into an oven proof dish and sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the top. Bake in the oven at 400f for approx 15 mins or until the top is browned and crispy
