Granville Market Normandie
The Granville Saturday Morning Market in Normandy is held in the picturesque old town of Granville.
The market is held on Place du Champ de Foire, a lively square surrounded by colourful buildings and traditional French cafés.
The market offers a range of fresh, local produce including fruits and vegetables, cheese, honey, charcuterie, seafood, and baked goods. You can also find a variety of souvenirs, handmade crafts, and plants.
Granville Casino built in 1911 is a listed building
We got to Granville market at 8 30 am just as the market was setting up.There is a car park opposite the market next to the post office and tourist office. Which fills up quickly on Market day it is worth arriving early the area gets very busy. As you would expect in a large shell fishing area a lot of the stall sell fish,oysters and mussels. It was quite common to see big queues at these stalls.There was plenty of fresh produce straight from the farms. The usual clothes and shoe stalls my wife got a nice pair of leather ankle boots for 10 euros.
