The Citroen 2 CV was built untill the 1990.Nearly 4 million 2CVs were produced,and over 1 million of the van version known as Fourgonnette.You paid around £450 for a new one in 1950 now a refurbished one will cost you £11,000.plus

The 2CV was introduced at the 1948 Paris Motor Show and became an instant hit with its quirky charm, innovative features and low cost.
The 2CV had an air-cooled, two-cylinder engine that was mounted in the front and drove the front wheels. It had a four-speed manual gearbox, a long-travel suspension system that gave it a smooth ride on rough roads, and a canvas roof that could be rolled back to accommodate large loads. The 2CV was also very economical, consuming only 3 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres.
The original model that produced 9 hp had a top speed of 64 km/h (40 mph), while the latest and fastest versions reached up to 115 km/h (71 mph). The 2CV became a symbol of French culture and lifestyle, and is still loved by many enthusiasts today.
