Vrasville
Vrasville is a beautiful rural village located in the Normandy region of France. The village just off the D116 about 5 miles from the Port of barfleur in Normandy.
We were following the D116 coast road to Barfleur passing signs for village we had never heard of.So as we had plenty of time we started turning off every time we saw a sign on our left. Which was under a mile away.One of the first signs we saw was to the village of Vrasville it was just off the D116.
The village was a mix of old and restored stone houses and farm buildings plus the church of Eglise Saint Sebastian. The population of the village is around the 100. We did not see one of them on our quick walk round or on our drive through the village.

History of the Village
Vrasville is a historic village that dates back to the Middle Ages. It was first mentioned in the 11th century when it was given to the monks of Mont-Saint-Michel by King Richard I of England. During the Hundred Years War, Vrasville was the site of several battles between the French and English armies, and the ruins of a castle can still be seen at the edge of the village. In the 18th century, the village became a popular holiday destination for wealthy Parisians.
Places of Interest in the Village
Vrasville boasts many attractions that draw visitors from all over the world. The ruins of the medieval castle are a must-see, as is the ancient church of Saint Martin, which dates back to the 12th century. The village also has a beautiful chapel, several old houses, and a charming town center with traditional shops and cafes.
There are plenty of attractions in the area for tourists to explore. The nearby town of Saint-Malo is home to a beautiful beach and the historic walled city of the same name. The cities of Bayeux and Caen are both within easy reach of Vrasville and are well worth a visit. The nearby Mont-Saint-Michel is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region. The stunning coastal towns of Honfleur and Etretat are also popular spots to visit.
