Arromanches les bains NormandyArromanches les bains Normandy was almost the last town we visited on the Normandy coast. We will be back later in the year to see the rest of the coast. We have traveled from Fecamp down to our last stop at Courseulles the sea front at Arromanches les bains
Arromanches les bains is a small town and was part of Gold beach in WWll D Day landings. People come to see the remains of the Mulberry Harbour it was designed for a short lifespan. There is still a lot of it left after 65 years.You can park in the town centre right outside the D Day museum. From there you can walk along the sea wall or go down to the beach. The area round the car park has the usual tourist shops, cafes and bars. The museum looked very interesting we will visit it next time we are in the area The WWll Museum
