 The area has always been popular with artists it is well worth visiting the Musée d'Art Américain in Giverny. If you want to see paintings by Monet you need to visit the near by town of Vernon. There is a Monet museum in the town. Most people visit Giverny to see Monet's house and gardens which have been restored. They are a very busy with tourist in the summer when the garden are in full bloom.
