The Battery Todt Museum France

The Atlantic Wall Museum is located in the Battery Todt bunker at Audinghen.
The museum contains a large amount of WWll equipment most types of guns from small arms up to field pieces.
You can see the old radios and telephones, uniforms, gas masks.
Inside the Battery Todt reminded me of a ship with low ceilings and no windows.Plus the heavy blast proof doors it must of been
very noises when the gun was fired.
The Museum
The museum has some models showing how the bunker looked in 1941.
You can see how the bunkers were linked together and the rail track the guns were moved on.
It shows the two large buildings that contained the stores for the bunkers.
They are still standing today by the D191 road.
The shells were moved to the bunkers on rails under a concrete cover.
The Museum is open every day June to 30 September and it is well worth a visit
The museum is located in a German bunker that was part of the Atlantic Wall fortifications. Visitors can explore the bunker and learn about the history of the Atlantic Wall and its construction. The museum features a variety of artifacts and displays, including maps, photographs, and models of the original fortifications. Visitors can also explore a section of the original beach defenses, which is still visible today.
The museum also hosts a variety of events and activities, such as lectures and guided tours. The museum is a great way to learn about the history of the Atlantic Wall and its role in World War II.

I would stay at the seaside village of Wissant there is a good range of accommodation BBs Hotels and a campsite.
It is only 5 miles away. Or you go the other way towards Ambleteuse which has similar accommodation.
