Cabourg Normandy our visit to this seaside town on our journey along the Normandy coast.The town is about 6 miles from Houlgate
The town of Cabourg
The area around Cabourg was quiet busy with traffic when we visited. Once you got to the sea front there was parking. We stopped there for an hour had a walk round the shops and a coffee.Then a walk along the sea front the beach seems to go on for miles. There was hardly anyone on the beach even though it was a warm day It was probably to early in the summer season for tourist. We visited the town on the 1st June.The town has a good selection restaurants you can try at reasonable prices.A Map of the town

Things to do in Cabourg and the area nearby
1. Visit the beach: Cabourg is a seaside town, so one of the main attractions is the beach. Spend the day relaxing on the sand or take a dip in the sea.
2. Take a stroll along the promenade: The Promenade Marcel Proust is a great way to explore the town, with its beautiful gardens and fountains.
3. Explore the historic center: Cabourg is an old town with lots of history. Visit the old churches, museums, and monuments to get a better understanding of the towns past.
4. Visit the marina: The marina is a great place to watch the boats and take in the views of the sea.
5. Go shopping: Cabourg is a great place to go shopping. There are plenty of shops and boutiques to explore.
6. Take a day trip to Deauville: Deauville is a beautiful seaside town just a short drive away from Cabourg. Spend the day exploring its picturesque streets and beach.
7. Visit the nearby nature reserves: Cabourg is surrounded by some beautiful nature reserves. Take a hike in the Valmer Woods Nature Reserve or explore the nearby Mont Canisy Nature Reserve.
