Le Tanu Normandie
Le Tanu Normandie is a small village in the Manche region of Normandy.We choose the village as our base to see the Manche coast.We crossed over to France on the fast ferry to Ouistreham near Caen. Which left us with a 70 mile drive to Le Tanu.
A welcome sight after a long trip
We were staying just on the edge of the village in a nice rented gite for two people.Although Le Tanu is a quite village we had never heard of.Its position is ideal just 10 miles form the seaside port of Granville. Which has a full range of shops and a Macdonalds for free broadband.
Going the other way is Mont Saint Michel about 15 miles.In between the two are several interesring small seaside resorts. You are close to Brittany about 40 miles we wanted to revisit some of the towns.Like St Malo. Dinard and Dinan to see if they had changed much since our last visit.It was a full days trip about 130 miles but well worth it and spread over the day with two picnics it was not to tiring

Even though it was the end of September the weather was still good enough to eat outside
