The old part of Villedieu les Poeles

Our first visit to the village was to see the large Tuesday morning street market. We liked the place so much we came back the next day.

The village is famous for making copper pots and pans and a range of copper products for the home. You can take a tour round the foundry and watch them make the cookware. The village has lots of shops selling copper items the sets of pans were excellent value .

They also sell a lot of pewter and glass items. We bought 6 Champagne flutes. The base and stem were in pewter with cut glass set into the metal. A local Map of the area
