Boeschepe village one of the places to visit in Northern FranceBoeschepe is a small village between St Omer and the Belguim border The village is a typical Flemish style with brick and timber framed houses. The area as a some of the best windmills in Europe some are several 100 years old.
The famous Windmill The windmill in the photo is one of the best preserved. It is just outside Boeschepe about a mile from the Belgium border. The windmill is on a small hill There is a car park with picnic tables. You can follow several different trails for walking and jogging. The windmill is open to the public.

 A short drive from the village is Mont des Cat. There is a trappist monastery there. The area is famous for its cheese The picture shows the chapel at the monastery We have stayed in this area on a couple of times.There are lots of places to see St Omer for one. This Gite is a short distance from St Omer Located at the edge of the town of Arques
This converted barn is now home to three beautifully furnished properties and a large shared indoor swimming pool which is heated all year round. It is a salt water pool with Jacuzzi jets and private seating and bathroom areas. Each holiday property has its own private garden and there is ample parking on site.
