Places to visit in Etretat


The town of Etretat can be found on the Alabaster coast in Normandy.

Just a few miles from the port of Le Havre the coast is known for the chalk cliffs which are shown in the photos.

The cliffs which the sea has worn archways in are probaly the most photographed in France.

The town has a good selection of shops and restaurants.

There is a gothic church from the 12th century well worth a visit.

The old covered market dating back to 1926 is interesting.

The Chateau Les Aygues has a lot of items on display there is plenty to keep you occupied for the afternoon.

The town dose not have a harbour so the small fishing boats are pulled on to the beach.
