Azincourt our visit to this interesting village photos and guide
Azincourt is the site of the famous battle on 25 October 1415.
The village is in the Pas de Calais region of France. The village is just off the N 928 road Hesdin to St Omer. It is a well maintained village with good sign posts to the places of interest.We parked at the Medieval Centre and had a walk round the centre of the village. As far as the church and the Charles VI le restaurant then we went in the musuem to learn more about the battle

Places to visit in and around the village
1. The Azincourt Memorial: This memorial commemorates the famous battle of Agincourt that took place in 1415. It was built in 1823 to mark the 600th anniversary of the battle.
2. The Azincourt Museum: The museum is dedicated to the Battle of Agincourt and contains a range of artifacts, including weapons and clothing that were used by the soldiers during the battle.
3. The Château dAzincourt: This castle is the former home of the dukes of Agincourt and is now a museum and historic site. It is a great place to learn about the history and culture of the area.
4. The Church of Saint-Denis: This church dates back to the 16th century and is a great example of Gothic architecture. Inside the church are a number of interesting artifacts and artworks.
5. The Azincourt Forest: This forest is located just outside the village and is a great place to explore. There are plenty of hiking trails and opportunities to spot wildlife.
6. The Azincourt Market: This is a great place to pick up some local produce and souvenirs. The market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday morning.

The battlefield is well marked out with good sign posts and you can walk around the battlefield. We took the lazy way and drove round. The road was quite so you could stop and get out to take photos and imagine what the battle must have been like.You can see from the metal soldiers where the armies were deployed.
If you get hungry walking round the village try the Charles VI le restaurant on 12 Rue Charles VI, 62310 Azincourt
Google street map if you follow the bowman signs they take you to the battlefield. If you follow the road the other way you go to The Medieval Centre
We stayed in the village of Caumont which is just a few miles away near Hesdin
