Bodilis
Bodilis is a small village in Brittany.It is 18 miles from the coast at Roscoff where we stayed for a short break
We arrived in the village of Bodilis at lunch time.We had been out for a morning drive from our base at Roscoff driving down he D30. When we reached the village we saw a sign for fresh sandwiches so decided to stop.Unfortunately it was closed but we did find a bakery that was open.So we did not miss out on lunch we got 2 cheese and ham baguette for 2 euros each.
The village had a couple of bread shops a bar/restaurant and a post office and the Mairie house/office.There is not much more I can say about the village. We stayed for about an hour had a walk round took some photos and had our baguette
The old church was worth a look round I liked the stained glass windows.
Places to visit in and around the village
In Bodilis itself, visitors can explore the beautiful 13th century chapel, the ruins of the old castle and a selection of traditional shops and restaurants.
Nearby attractions include the Château de Keriolet, a 17th century castle, and the Lac de Guerlédan, a large lake. The nearby beaches of Aber Benoit and Pen Lan are great for swimming, sailing and kayaking.
The standing stones of Carnac are a short drive away, while further afield visitors can explore the city of Quimper, the magnificent Mont St. Michel or the picturesque island of Ile de Batz.

They serve a good continental breakfast in the restaurant.The bedroom we had was a good size with a bathroom fresh towels were supplied everyday.
The room had a TV and free Wifi connection.
You could park to unload at the front of the hotel for 15 mins.There is a large public car park about 150 yards away which is free.We parked there and had no problems.You need to get a free parking ticket from the machine on the car park everyday.
We enjoyed our stay there and would go back again. The hotel is on 5 Rue Gambetta | Le Port, 29680 Roscoff
