Villedieu les Poeles Normandy is a large village about 18 miles from the coast at Granville. We were staying about 7 miles away at Le Tanu a small village The old part of Villedieu les Poeles
Our first visit to the village was to see the large Tuesday morning street market. We liked the place so much we came back the next day. The village is famous for making copper pots and pans and a range of copper products for the home. You can take a tour round the foundry and watch them make the cookware. The village has lots of shops selling copper items the sets of pans were excellent value . They also sell a lot of pewter and glass items. We bought 6 Champagne flutes.
