The French village of Wierre EffroyPlaces to see in the village of Wierre EffroyThe village of Wierre Effroy is about 5 miles from the Cote d Opale. We stayed there in October 2006 and December 2007.It is another place you have most likely never heard of I had not. What attracted us was its location 3 miles from the old town of Marquise with it full range of shops and petrol station. Five miles to the beach and the seaside town of Wimereux. Twenty miles from the ferry at Calais and 15 miles from Boulogne.
Wierre Effroy centre  The Gite we stayed in Wierre Effroy  We stayed in the Gite in the photo it was very comfortable. You reached it down a private road there was parking for several cars. The garden was about 2 acres backing on to a small forest. There were some small deer which came into the garden first thing in the morning. What we liked best is you were completely isolated. If you wanted to be but 10 mins in the car in any direction you could be in a town or village The photo shows the deer it took all week to get  Local sign  The photo shows the sign to 2 local towns there will be a web page on both soon
