Guisseny
Guisseny is a small seaside village located in Finistère, in the Brittany region of France. It is known for its stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, its charming fishing port, and its picturesque stone houses. It is about 25 miles from the port of Roscoff. Where we stayed and about 6 miles from the seaside village of Brignogan Plages.
Our visit to Guisseny was slightly spoilt by the weather every time we got out of the car it rained.We were looking forward to a walk along the beach but the rain was to heavy.So we headed back to the centre of the village as we reached the church.The road was blocked they were doing a quick repair.So we turned into the church car park behind the graveyard.To have a coffee and an hours sleep till the rain stopped.
We parked next to a car that looked like it had not been moved for 10 years.It was covered in green moss and sap from a over hanging tree branch.I woke up 30 minutes later and the car to my amazement had gone.It had know stopped raining so we had a walk round.There was a couple of food shops a bakery and two restaurant bars.
The village of Guisseny
The village was founded in the 13th century and is home to many historical monuments, including the Château de Guisseny and its 16th-century chapel. The village also has several ancient fortifications, such as the Tour de Guisseny, a 14th-century keep.
Some of the main attractions in Guisseny include its picturesque harbor, its beach, and its local markets. There are also many outdoor activities to enjoy, such as kayaking, sailing, and fishing. Other popular activities include horse riding, beach volleyball, and beachcombing.
Nearby attractions include the city of Brest, with its many historical attractions, and the beautiful Pointe du Raz, one of the most famous landmarks in Brittany. There are also many other small villages, beaches, and forests to explore.

Hotel du Centre in Roscoff
The hotel overlooks the harbour at the front and a town centre street at the back
They serve a good continental breakfast in the restaurant.The bedroom we had was a good size with a bathroom fresh towels were supplied everyday.
The room had a TV and free Wifi connection.
You could park to unload at the front of the hotel for 15 mins.There is a large public car park about 150 yards away which is free.We parked there and had no problems.You need to get a free parking ticket from the machine on the car park everyday.
We enjoyed our stay there and would go back again. The hotel is on 5 Rue Gambetta | Le Port, 29680 Roscoff
